As some of you know, last December I asked my bridesmaids to be in my wedding! It was such an exciting day for me and really felt like the beginning of it all. Although I had been planning for a couple of months prior, it’s such a different feeling going from planning with your fiance, mom & wedding planner, to now having a bridal party!
It was so important for me to ask the girls at the same time. The girls I asked are from different stages in my life and do not all know one another so I felt that this would be the beginning of creating friendships. I hosted brunch at Emmaline (who btw were SO nice in giving me a last-minute reservation and didn’t mind the photos being taken) where I invited 6 of my closest girl-friends to be my bridesmaids and maid of honor. Here I also asked my niece to be my flower girl (stay tuned for next week’s post to see what I gave her) and I’m happy to report, they all said yes! Not shown is my sister n law who unfortunately doesn’t live in Houston so I met with her during one of her trips back home and asked her then. It seriously makes my heart so happy to be surrounded and loved by friends and family who are willing to make such a big commitment and stand by my side on such a special day.
Although it was not easy coordinating with 6 girl’s schedules (lol), I’m so happy we got the chance to all be together. It meant the world to have such important women in my life with me in the same place. I couldn’t have done this without the help of my mom who helped plan this brunch and put these boxes together for me and I wouldn’t have these photos if it wasn’t for my girl Loryn over at Glo Fotografia. A huge thank you to every single girl pictured above. You all mean the world to me and I am so blessed to call you friends who have turned into family. See more of their proposal box here. How did you ask your bridesmaids? Leave a comment down below. I’d love to hear your story and stay tuned for next week’s Wedding Wednesday post!
