Happy Wednesday!
I’m so excited to start this new series on the blog called Wedding Wednesday. Every Wednesday I will be sharing where I’m am at throughout this whole wedding planning process. Covering everything from updates, advice, recommendations, and tips. This is something so many of you girls have asked about already so why not make a series out of it. I am so excited to have people like you to share this beautiful journey with. Enjoy!
If you follow me on social media then you’d know that I got engaged in October (read more about it here). We were told by so many people to take it all in and really enjoy the moment of being engaged because once you start planning, things may just get a little crazy. So that’s exactly what we did. Henry & I were on a natural high for daysssss, maybe even weeks. We couldn’t believe that we had entered a new season of life together. I think I stared at my ring every 5 seconds for a solid 2 months. And to be honest, I am still so mesmerized by how beautiful it is. Now while we were taking in the excitement and really enjoying calling each other Fiance. I could not stop worrying about if my dream venue would be available on the date I wanted. Just like most girls, I’ve had this dream wedding planned in my head and on Pinterest ever since I can remember. And if there is one thing I wanted the most, it was my dream venue. I can’t remember how I found out about this particular venue but I’ve known I’ve wanted to get married there for years now. & one of the main reasons why we chose to have such a long engagement is because I wanted to give us enough time to plan everything without rushing or without being told what we want is booked or unavailable on our date. So after 3 days of being engaged, Henry convinces me to just call the venue and see if they were available on our date. Y’all I think I was sweating while waiting to hear back from them. Finally, I was told yes, the date I wanted was available. THANK GOD. I scheduled a tour for 2 weeks after that. So after being engaged for 2 weeks, the first thing we did was schedule a tour of the venue. I fell in love the minute I walked in. Can you believe it was my first time ever seeing it in person!? Now I did not make a decision that day which is something you should never do! Always explore and see what your options are. I was advised to get a wedding planner first because they will help you will everything, including the venue. so that’s what I did next. I began researching wedding planners, which I will talk more about next week. So many girls ask me if it’s worth it, how do they help, why do we need them, how much do they cost and more. Well, stay tuned for next week as I share my personal experience and thoughts on a wedding planner.
Until next week loves! Thank you so much for reading and being apart of this journey with me.
