Happy Friday!
I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day yesterday. You can read more about how I spent yesterday here.
I wanted to write a quick post on what I got my fiance this Valentines Day. I notice I always get asked what I’m going to buy him but never really share unless someone asks. So I thought why not share it!? I’ll start with saying, Henry & I don’t really give gifts on this day. Usually, I bake some sweets for him & give him a card because
I will never forget our first valentines day we spent together as more than just friends. It was 4 years ago and we had only been going on dates for a little over the month. Although we had been friends for over a year, this was all really new for us since we were so used to being just friends. I remember after a nice dinner, we were in the car either on the way or leaving the water wall but he then decides to give me my gift which completely took me by surprise. I did not expect a gift AT ALL. I vividly remember opening a cute pink boxed FULL of things for me. He gifted me Kendra Scott jewelry, a candle, lumee case & more!!! YALLLL, I was SOOO embarrassed because I didn’t buy him ANYTHING!!! LOL, I did bake him brownies & cupcakes which I then gave to him right after he gave me my gift & I think I was more embarrassed about the fact that I actually baked for him lol I almost would’ve rather not given him anything at all hahahaha. Gifts are my second love language so just as much as I love receiving, I love giving even more!! It was that moment that I knew if he and I were to ever spend anther vday together, I was gonna have to tell him we don’t have to do gifts.
So with all that being said, I couldn’t help but to buy him gifts this year. LOL. I know I just went on a huge rant on how I don’t usually do this but something got into me this year where I really just wanted to buy him some cute & small items. I first got him the cutest socks ever with a personalized picture of our sweet pup on them. They are literally the cutest things ever, I ended up buying myself some too! This was by far my favorite gift to him. You could also put a picture of yourself on them which I think would be funny. Then I remembered he had been wanting this new game for his Nintendo switch for months now so I was like why not! I got him the game Super Mario Party, which btw we played it last night and SO MUCH FUN. I didn’t plan on buying him anything more than that and a card of course until I made my Valentines Day Gift Guide For Him where I loved the items I put on there so much, I had to get them for him. So then I added boxers with tiny hearts all over them and a mug that says morning handsome. And, of
Do you buy gifts for Valentines Day or nah? If so, I’d love to hear what you got that special someone this year! Let me know down in the comments below.
