Life Update 7/24/17

Hey, everybody!
Wow does it feel good to be writing on here again. I’ve been away from blogging for over a month now due to a various amount of reasons and to be quite honest with you, it felt good to take a break.

As most of you might know, I studied abroad this summer in France and my plan was to continue to blog while I was there. I bought tons of outfits to shoot and was so excited to take you all along with me BUT as I got off my plane from Miami to Norway, I could feel my lower back feeling damp so I take my backpack off & sure enough the bottom of my brand new Marc Jacobs backpack was wet. I’m not sure how my backpack went from dry to wet on the plane, I can only assume that whoever was sitting in front of me spilled their drink onto my backpack that was placed under their seat. Quickly I pull out my laptop to find it wet and no longer working. </3 I tried to air dry it, took it to the apple store, had the IT guy at my school in France take a look at it but no luck. So I shipped it back home to the states to have my boyfriend look over it and try to fix it. With all that being said, I was now in France with no computer. So I thought okay, no big deal. I’ll focus on my studies and really enjoy my time living here. I thought to myself, I could still always take OOTD pics for Instagram & later posts on my blog? Well, I thought all that without thinking “who’s going to take my pictures?” A selfie stick can only do so much for you lol. I was lucky enough to make friends with students in my program (shout out to you CK, Demi & Sharon) who were nice enough to take pictures of me. I didn’t get to shoot every outfit I bought for France but I did get some.. stay tuned 😉 While I was in France, I started to stress out about my blog and how many followers I was going to lose thanks to not having enough content, not having a computer to write and edit on, & not having WIFI to check Instagram. It got to the point where I couldn’t even enjoy being in a country I had always dreamed of going to. After about two weeks of hardcore stressing & trying to make it work, I finally told myself to just let it go. I thankfully realized how silly it was to stress about these first world problems like not being able to update my life on social media. For the rest of my time in Europe, I forgot about my phone and enjoyed the little time I had left.

I’m now back in the states and 2 days later I start 3 new classes. I had about a day to spend with my boyfriend and family before starting school again. As I’m about to enter into my last year in college, I realize it’s time to start looking for an internship. And last but not least I begin applying for jobs bc ya girl definitely came back from France broke lol. So It went 0 to 100 REAL. QUICK. My life right now looks a whole lot like school, new job, school, looking for an internship, school, hanging out with friends, fam & the boyfriend, some more school, spending as much time as I can with my one and only niece while she’s here for the summer, school, volunteering at church, school, working out, trying to live my life/have some personal time, being apart of organizations at my school & oh, did I mention school??? LOL. I take zero breaks in school right now especially because I just decided to add a minor to my degree so that added a little over a semester of classes. I’ve never been the one to take school serious which is why I’m still in school bc I decided to take the first year of college as a joke basically (biggest mistake ever) then I took a 2 year break to work and make money, slowly I went back from being a PT student/FT worker to now a FT + a whole lot of overtime student/PT worker. I’m really happy where I’m at in life right now, I finally feel like I can see the end of the tunnel when it comes to graduating but as you can see I am verrrry busy. Huge props to all the mommy bloggers, I have no idea how you do it! But after being back home, it took me about two weeks to get back on my feet to where I finally feel comfortable to blog again. I must admit though, a part of me did want to put blogging behind me but that’s a whole other blog post I’ll write about one day.

I hope you all missed me just as much as I missed you! I’m so happy to be back home and start blogging again. I have so many ideas I want to do, projects in the making and content ready to be shown. If you’re reading this, thanks for being so patient with me, you are the real MVP. I love y’all.
Xx, Es <3
